Newstrade 3rd Party Distribution
- Assist in the appointment of a financially robust and effective 3rd party distribution company, advise on contract remit agreement for UK and export distribution
- Prepare newstrade launch document
- Manage all aspects of the newstrade launch process
- Review quality of newstrade sales briefs documentation
- Checking and signing-off recommended launch supply figures
- Attend meetings with distributor
Retail
- Work with distributor to formalise trade marketing plan ensuring it is implemented successfully

- Make recommendation on retail promotional budgets
- Examine cost effectiveness of the retail spend vs return
- Agree target retail multiple groups listing objectives in line with range review timetables
- Analyse availability, sell-outs and handling at retail multiples
- Analyse weekly Epos data from key retail multiple groups to assist in forecasting
- Agree timing on information flow to support all issue scheduled in 2010
- Agree and sign-off budgets for supply and sales by retail multiple group
- Attend meetings with retail buyers as and when required
Wholesale
- Analyse suggested print orders, provide figure in line with budgets
- Agree target supply, copy sales and sales efficiency for all issues
- Agree and monitor how supplies will be being targeted and developed with distributor
- Review unsold levels impact on early returns, 100% returns, wastage at individual wholesale houses
- Measure sales efficiency performance vs. sectors/ competitors to improve overall cost effectiveness
Specialist/Non Traditional Outlets
- Review opportunities to expand distribution to new outlets, to include supplied by Dawson Media, DLT, Gold Key Media, Media on the Move
Other
- Provide assistance on front cover, added value, cover-mounts
- Export strategy-review opportunities for overseas distribution, local selling price
- Audit monthly payments from distributor payments
